WHAT ARE MINI MODES?
Mini Modes are unique, high-quality clothing for 1/6 scale fashion dolls. Our designs are either one-of-a-kind or limited editions, often featuring rare and/or vintage fabrics. Inspired by "mummy-made" doll clothing, we aim to create lovingly hand-crafted styles while ensuring you receive the highest quality we can provide. Our goal is to bring you the joy of discovering something exciting and new for your collection.
WHO IS DEAN REEN?
I studied fashion design at the Fashion Design Studio in Sydney Australia. Among other things, I take inspiration from my favourite actors, brochures, catalogues, and 60s/70s Australiana.
Sewing runs in my family: My Great Grandmother was a “tailoress” in Sydney. My Grandfather was a Mechanic from Germany but was also a very talented amateur sewist. And my mother has always inspired me with her love for sewing, painting, and sculpting among many other things.
Furniture making is a family trade too: My father was a carpenter and some of my fondest memories of Dad are of playing in the garage while he made furniture. And my great uncle / godfather was a props and special effects man for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. He had a passion for clocks: His most famous clock didn’t really work though, it was the “Rocket Clock” featured on Play School.
